The
digital Surface Model, DSM, is a database representing the location, elevation
and shape of built up features and vegetation from the ground surface. The DSM
is produced by utilization of an automated process based on stereo information
from satellites or airborne sensors. The DSM provides up-to-date information
enabling the RF planners to:
Position base stations and antennas in an optimal way
Check for interference between beams
Simulate line of sight connections
